“Betrothed couples looking for an out-of-the-ordinary wedding experience found lots to explore at Brides, Bubbles and Bliss, which took place Wednesday evening at the Bridgeport Art Center Skyline Loft,” Chicago Shopping reports. Carasco Photography in collaboration with Michelle Durpetti Events and Loudbyte Cinematography presented the Third Annual Brides, Bubbles and Bliss. Guests perused avant-garde displays at this third annual event, which was created by Carasco Photography to bring together top Chicago wedding resources like Boutique Bites, Automated Lighting Design, Sugar Chic Designs, Truffle Truffle and more as well as creative-minded couples. A couture runway show was hosted by Cindy Chiang, recent winner of ‘The Amazing Race’ and recent bride (wed three days after BBB!).
Guests entered via the freight elevator which featured a bubbles bar and grooved to hits by Adele, Cee Lo Green and more performed by SWAY Chicago and ChicagoLiveMusic. DJ Spencer Lokken of Style Matters DJs spun during the runway show which featured Marchesa, Oscar de la Renta and Caroline Herrera as well as couture designer, Alice Padrul of Alice Padrul Bridal Couture.
VIP guests at the runway were gifted with customized truffle boxes designed by Erickson Design with treats from Truffle Truffle.

We had the opportunity to do a shoot with Cindy Chiang, winner of CBS’s Emmy Award Winning Series, “The Amazing Race” to promote Brides, Bubbles and Bliss. Cindy donned a gown by Alice Padrul Bridal Couture and a gorgeous red evening gown by Marchesa (provided by Ultimate Bride).

Six Things About Jessi Sheehan (Founder and Head Wardrobe Stylist at Evolve Chicago and Makeup Artist at Epoch)
1) My favorite color is green. Would you believe that I was born in a green room…at the same time (1:37 pm), on the same day of the week (Wednesday) as my older sister, 3 years apart?!
2) Growing up, my family hosted exchange students from Australia, Brazil, Belgium and South Africa who lived with us for months at a time. I would love to visit them someday. I have enjoyed traveling to England and Italy.
3) At an early age, maybe 5, I disliked tags in my clothes so much that I would take fast action to quickly rip or cut them out. I also enjoyed changing my outfits many times throughout the day.
4) My discipline and work ethic come from being a competitive gymnast for 9 years. I do my best thinking on a trampoline.
5) I worked as design assistant for Jillian Lewis (Project Runway Season 4), in New York City, through 2 Fashion Week shows, and finished my time there by ringing the Nasdaq bell.
6) I worked backstage at the Oprah show for two different makeover shows ,”Step Out of Your Box” and “Makeover My Man.”

1. Brides, Bubbles, & Bliss is an avant garde bridal event aimed toward fashion forward brides and grooms. “As photographers, we are very visual and are inspired by what we see. We wanted to create a modern event that appeals to the senses and goes beyond traditional bridal.” Brides, Bubbles and Bliss is more of a soiree where brides can mingle with their mom, bridesmaids or fiancé with a glass of bubbles and be inspired by an evening of glamour.

2. Brides, Bubbles and Bliss benefits a local charity every year. Charities have included PAWS Chicago and Deborah’s Place. In 2012, the proceeds will benefit Hephzibah Children’s Association. Hephzibah’s Group Homes are where abused and neglected children come to heal and grow, where they can be free of fear, worry, and loneliness. Their Family Based Services renews and strengthens family bonds and their Foster Care Services creates new, loving and secure family ties. Hephzibah’s Day Care program offers an award winning educational experience for children in the community — regardless of their family’s ability to pay.

Gowns such as Marchesa, Carolina Herrera, Oscar de la Renta and more from Ultimate Bride and couture collections by local Chicago designer, Alice Padrul Bridal Couture will highlight our runway. 5. Traditionally, Brides, Bubbles and Bliss has been a winter event taking place in early February. Due to last year’s “Snowmaggadon” (as we like to refer to it), on February 1, 2011, the Brides, Bubbles and Bliss event now takes place in early March just in time for brides-to-be to get a head start on their fall 2012 or 2013 wedding.
