Brides, Bubbles, and Bliss is the Midwest’s not-to-miss bridal event of the year, a beautifully curated production providing endless informative inspiration for brides, grooms, and industry insiders. With producers and Carasco Photography owners, Cara and Scott Nava, pulling the delicate strings of this soiree, it continues to be one of the chicest events Chicago sees all year. Each year, the production offers an exclusive runway show with a renowned bridal designer, couture dress and custom suit samplings, amid an array of modern catering and décor ideas.

There are many layers to the production of a truly magical, one of a kind wedding day celebration, and knowing where to begin is the philosophy behind the inception of Brides, Bubbles, and Bliss. As an extension of this annual bridal outlet, Cara and Scott have tapped into the notion of producing year round bridal advice. These original videos, which fall under the guise of BBB TV, are released twice a month (debuting in December 2012), offering brides-to- be and the wedding-curious exclusive tips and tricks from some of the industry’s leading professionals.

Today’s weddings are all about dazzling with the details and Brides, Bubbles, and Bliss alongside the year round bridal guidance of BBB TV are among the most inspirational outlets for the newly engaged. Cara & Scott bring you BBB TV.

CREATING A REALISTIC BUDGET: Considering the expenses of a wedding
Wedding Planner, Tiffany Munster of Soirée weddings & events takes us step-by-step through the process of Creating a Realistic Wedding Budget.

Historically, the bride’s parents would pay the groom a dowry in order to marry their daughter. When dowries became antiquated, it was still considered the responsibility of the bride’s parents to pay for the expenses of a wedding. These days, we are seeing more and more weddings being paid for by the couple – with some contributions from both families. Whether you are paying for your wedding yourself, or getting help from your family –there are a few tips you should know about the cost of wedding in the 21st Century.

Erin Dahl-Sellers, from Revel Decor shares some bridal bouquet basics from choosing your bouquet flowers, tips on how to hold your bouquet and more.

1.) Choosing your floral. Pick your dress first. Then share those details with your floral designer so they can conceptualize a bouquet that compliments it. Think of the bouquet as your signature accessory.

2.)  Incorporate your own personal touches to the bouquet. A handkerchief from your grandmother or a photo of relative is a meaningful way to honor those you love.

3.) How to hold the bouquet. Hold it roughly at hip level and remember to put your thumb at your belly button. It opens up your shoulders and shows off the sidelines of your dress and makes you picture perfect.
